Safety

Having a pool at home creates moments of fun, but also implies a great risk for babies and young children. Pool fences are the safest solution to prevent drowning accidents as they prevent children from entering the risky area. Children under five years of age are highly exposed to dangerous situations. A second of distraction can be fatal. Seventy-six percent of accidents are caused by a moment of carelessness on the part of the adult in charge.  In this section, we want to share the information and notes that could be useful to minimize these risks.

At BabySecur, we have been working for more than 20 years to offer you the safest product and thus guarantee your peace of mind.

POOL SAFETY TIPS

  • If you cannot find your child, look for them in the pool first. Every second is vital.
  • Make sure your children cannot access the pool area unattended.
  • They should always be supervised by an adult who knows how to act in the event of an accident.
  • Teach your children how to swim, so they will know their possibilities and limitations in the water.
  • Learn how to practice cardio-pulmonary resuscitation. This can radically change the consequences of an accident.
  • Several adults can take turns watching the children, but one person must always be the one in charge.
  • Always take your phone to the pool area so you can use it without losing sight of the children.
  • Avoid the presence of toys or flashy objects in the pool area.
  • Keep the pool water clean year-round so you can see the bottom clearly.
  • Install a security fence that children and babies cannot open, climb or cross so there is no risk of the gate being left open unintentionally.
